I may have overlooked something but I have reinstalled everything on my harddrive after a crash and I cannot get updater to work.

Created the rsync folder all files are in the the rsync folder but when I run the bat file it flashes a second and nothing happens.  I still have the version 1.0 haks in me file hak directory. If someone could point out the obvious thing I'm missing it would be appreciated.

This actually opens but it says it can't find the NWNMain. The NWNMain is in the NWN folder so I don't know why it can't find it.

Alright Tom_Banjo I figured it out I had the updater buried in to many layers of folders somehow but it is working now. Thanks

I've had similar problems, Cervantes.  Please tell me, what do you mean by hidden under too many layers of folders?

the updater should be located inside a folder that is inside your nwn directory. using the compressed package we provided, extract the folder and its contents directly into your nwn folder (folder where nwmain.exe is located). the updater looks for nwmain.exe when it runs and if it does not find it in the directory above the q_update.bat, the process will fail.

the location should be similar to:      C:\NeverwinterNights\NWN\Q_updater

Does the 1.1 updater still work now that Q 1.2 is out?

Yes. The 1.1 updater is the latest updater. We only change updaters when a fundamental change in the hak structure occurs (like adding or removing a hak). 1.1 added the armoury.hak. 1.2 has the same structure, so it will be fine.
